In this site of ours, Allamah Sayyid Muhammad Hussain At-Tabatabai (May Allah shower His choicest blessings on him) will be referred to mostly by ‘Allamah’ as he is well known by.
Allamah Tabatabai is probably the most renowned Muslim scholar in the past 100 years. He is well known for authoring many books, the most famous is his monumental commentary on the Holy Qur’an, Al-Mizan. He is also known as a philosopher. Primary goal of this page is to publish, over time the contents of Al-Mizan in English as we translate them. However, we will also post other material related to him or by him insha’Allah.
And it does not beseem the believers that they should go forth all together; why should not then a company from every party from among them go forth that they may apply themselves to obtain understanding in religion, and that they may warn their people when they come back to them that they may be cautious? (Holy Qur’an 9:122)
